I-1 Photographs
I-1 Photographs:
The I-1 feature at Thor can generally be described as a buried resistivity feature. Generally, resistive rocks would include those that have quartz, carbonate and albite. |
HREE Analysis
Some insight into the origin and associations of rocks can be gained by understanding the levels of trace elements found in various rock units. Taranis undertook a comprehensive study of the 2024 drill core and the figure to the right shows the concentration of various Heavy Rare Earth elements in rocks related to I-1. The profile shows a fairly flat profile with a pronounced valley in uranium, and an upswing in niobium and tantalum. This profile can then be compared to other rock types, and similarities or differences are helpful in gaining further insight into the I-1 rocks. |
