Horton Discovery 2023 - Photographs of Float Samples
Sample 3241044 - Massive pyrite-tetrahedrite sample with oxidation on the outside of the boulder. This sample ran 14.55 grams/tonne gold and 1,045 g/tonne silver. The tetrahedrite forms black clots up to 1.5 cm in size within the massive pyrite. It also ran 3.17% antimony and 3.23% copper. The presence of copper and antimony is one of the characteristic features of extremely high-grade silver zones at Thor such as St. Elmo. It also ran 0.05% lead and 0.43% zinc. This particular texture has never been seen before at the main Thor deposit, and is the extremely high ratio of precious/base metals is indicative of it being in the upper levels of a high-sulfidation epithermal system.

Sample 3241050 - Heavily oxidized boxwork sample found in surface float, very weathered, silver -colored sulfide mineral, extensive vugging, abundant iron-oxide. This sample ran 6.31 grams/tonne gold, 1,705 grams/tonne silver, 2.40% lead, 0.04% zinc and 16.3% sulfur. These types of textures are only found in the main epithermal deposit where it occurs at surface, and has been subjected to weathering.
