Understanding the formations that host the Thor epithermal deposit is very important to exploration. There are at least five different rock units found at Thor that have become important. These are tabulated below:
Each of these geological formations become increasingly important because it is known that the alteration related to the epithermal and prospective porphyry targets expresses itself differently. It is only by understanding the complex geology of each of these units that the geology can be understood. |
